Location and Safety

You control whether to connect and can stop an interaction at any time. These steps can help you use FeelFree2 and meet people with care.

What Nearby shares

When you enable Nearby and grant location permission, your device sends coordinates and accuracy to our backend to calculate proximity. Coordinates may be precise. Other users receive approximate distance bands rather than the coordinates themselves.

A distance band, venue, photograph or detail in your profile can still help someone infer where you are. Avoid sharing your home address, daily routine or another person’s location. Turn visibility off in Settings when you do not want to appear nearby, and manage location access in device settings.

Closing the app does not by itself turn visibility off. Nearby can use your last received location while visibility is enabled. Turning visibility off does not by itself erase the last stored coordinates. Hiding your profile and deleting your account are different actions.

Wider discovery in the iOS test update

The following controls are available to invited TestFlight testers in the iOS test build, version 0.9.0 (45). You can choose a radius in kilometres or Nationwide for a selected country. Country and locality are entered by users and do not prove their current location.

Existing discovery choices keep their previous reach until you explicitly allow wider discovery in Settings. Enabling wider discovery allows your profile to be found beyond its previous radius, up to 500 km or throughout the country saved in your profile. Changing your search filters alone does not enable wider visibility or grant device location permission. You can hide your profile in Settings.

Profile details and status in the test update

The test update provides separate visibility choices for your status and the additional-details group: people who can discover your profile, your connections or only you. The group includes optional height, weight, hair colour, favourite foods, interests and personal or professional goals. You can edit or remove optional details. Your introduction and existing hobbies remain part of your visible profile.

We save your status, optional profile details, country and locality, and discovery-filter preferences with your account to provide your profile and remember your chosen search. Your country and locality appear on your visible profile and are not covered by the status or additional-details visibility choices. A status, hobby or photograph can reveal a place you visit. A status such as wanting a coffee or a film is not consent to a meeting or to any other interaction.

Connections and calls

A connection request, a Dating preference or an accepted call does not verify someone’s identity or give consent to a meeting, sexual contact or recording. Stop contact when asked. You can block or report a user.

FeelFree2 audio calls use LiveKit. Another participant may use their own recording device, so do not assume a call cannot be recorded. Voice messages you choose to record and send in chat are stored media.

Meet in public and keep control

• Choose a public place for a first meeting and tell someone you trust where you are going.
• Arrange your own transport and keep your phone, drink and belongings with you.
• Do not send money, authentication codes, bank information or identity documents to someone you met through the service.
• Be cautious about pressure to move off the app, invest urgently, meet privately or ignore your boundaries.
• Leave and seek help if you feel unsafe. You do not owe anyone continued contact.

If an account appears to belong to a person under 18, stop contact and report it. Do not download or redistribute suspected child sexual abuse material.
